MAR 19, KATHMANDU. The 24th National Industrial Exhibition is to be organised at local Bhrikutimandap from tomorrow.
The expo is going to be organised with the objective of promoting and popularizing the goods manufactured by the micro, cottage and small industries.
At a news conference organised here today, it was informed that the expo under the slogan ‘Nepali art, skill and pride- Employment and prosperity our campaign’ will conclude on March 24.
The Cottage and Small Industry Development Committee will organise the expo.
According to Executive Director of the Committee, Nabin Kumar Jha, entrepreneurs from all the 75 districts will participate in the exhibition.
Different goods including handicraft, food grains, goods manufactured from bamboo, handmade paper, leather footwear, organic tea and coffee and natural fibre products will be put on display in the expo.
There will be 300 stalls in the expo, said Jha. The organizer expects that some 100,000 people would visit the expo and transaction of around Rs. 30 million would be carried out.
The Committee said that goods produced by entrepreneurs would be divided into 13 groups and one entrepreneur from each group awarded. Similarly, one participant woman entrepreneur would be awarded.
Opportunity to visit foreign country would be provided to the award-recipients, said the organizer. RSS
