1 Feb, Pokhara : Manang and Mustang, the hilly districts in the country, have witnessed heavy snowfall since Saturday night.

The districts have been covered with 1.5 feet snow. Locals said that the snowfall has been taking place continuously from Saturday night.

An employee at the District Agriculture Development Office, Manang, said he reached the office by removing the snow with a shovel. Hilly areas, roofs of the houses in the districts are now covered with snow.

People are forced to keep themselves inside the houses wearing warm clothes to avoid the chilling cold. The cold has put the normal life in both the districts out of gear.

Air services would be disrupted at the Jomsom Airport in Mustang district for few days due to the snowfall. RSS
