24 March, Lalitpur : As many as 63 cases of rape were filed in the District Police Office, Lalitpur, during the last four years.

Speaking at a programme organized by the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, Senior Superintendent of Police Pushpa Chandra Ranjeet said of the 63 cases the highest numbers are filed in the Fiscal Year 2013/14.

Of the cases, 31 are reported to have taken place through enticement while 29 under threat and coercion, two are cases related group rape, and one other during the robbery, said police.

Majority of the cases had taken place inside the home while some others had taken place in public places and in the bush. RSS
