PM Koirala, Big Leaders Inspecting Quake-Hit Districts

6 May, Kathmandu : Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and the top leaders of the big three political parties left Kathmandu for inspecting earthquake-hit districts as Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading this morning.

PM Koirala, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher Rana are in the Nepal Army helicopter to visit the three districts, said Prakash Adhikari, press coordinator of the PM.

The team will inspect the quake-hit areas, garner information on human and physical loss, and direct the Chief District Officers for necessary works of relief distribution.

The ruling NC and UML and the opposition party UCPN (Maoist) had held a meeting on Tuesday evening on how they could expedite the relief distribution and plan reconstruction of damaged infrastructures .

PM Koirala had visited Barpak area, the epicenter of April 25 earthquake, and observed the situation there on Tuesday morning. RSS
