Bangladesh provides 27,000 plus blanket to quake-hit

23 May, Kathmandu : Bangladesh has provided 27,128 blankets and 3,900 tarpaulins to Nepal as humanitarian relief assistance for the earthquake victims.

BangaldeshThe Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka said that 15 trucks with the relief goods reached Kakarbhitta via the Banglabanddh-Fulbari-Panitanki land route on Friday with the relief materials provided by the central bank of Bangladesh for the quake victims in Nepal.

Earlier on May 14, nine trucks with 27,730 blankets and 1,607 tents were received from Bangladesh in the first consignment.

Likewise, the Embassy said that several organizations and individuals in Bangladesh have provided a total of 151,636 US dollars to the Embassy’s special relief account meant for quake-hit’s relief and rehabilitation till May 21. RSS
