Bhaktapur, November 24. Former industries minister and patron of Manav Aastha Nepal, Mahesh Basnet, has distributed medicines for four health posts in Bhaktapur to help them cope with the drug shortage resulting from the Indian blockade.

The NGO collected and distributed drugs of 38 types, worth Rs 2.68 lakh in coordination with Anantalingeshwor municipality. The recipients are Sirutar health post, Balkot health post, Dadhikot health post and Gundu health post.

By blocking the supply of drugs, an act that is not committed even during war, India has presented a vivid example of human rights violation, Basnet said.

While distributing medicine, Basnet pointed that the Indian blockade had caused a shortage of drugs nationwide, adding that India has failed to become Nepal’s good neighbour.
