Kathmandu, November 24. A two-day conference meeting of the New Force Formation Campaign concluded on Wednesday, selecting former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai as its coordinator.

For now, the campaign will assign responsibilities to subordinates by dividing the country into 13 provinces, something which then CPN-Maoist had done during the decade-long insurgency.

At the press meet organised at the end of the conference, the campaign informed that it will launch a campaign in all 75 districts for the formation of a new force by issuing membership.

Campaign leader Sunil Poudel said on the occasion that the campaign will run promotional and organisational programmes as well as movement related programmes. For now, the campaign will assign responsibilities to subordinates by dividing the country into 13 provinces, something which then CPN-Maoist had done during the decade-long insurgency.

Campaigner Ram Chandra Jha said the division of responsibilities will adhere to the seven-province federal model that the new constitution has embraced. He said: A movement is going on in Madhesh and Tharuhat. We are for addressing demands coming from Magarat as well. Currently, we are working on division of responsibilities.
