Kathmandu, November 26. The government of Nepal has acknowledged that a Sashastra Seema Bal personnel crossed into the Nepali territory in Bhantabari, Sunsari, on Wednesday and opened fire, injuring four.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked India to investigate the incident and bring the culprit to justice. According to the ministry, four Nepalis were injured after the SSB opened fire, hundred metres into Nepali territory at 6.20 am on Thursday.
The government has also urged India to take measures to ensure that such incidents do not take place in the future.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu denies the incident took place inside Nepali territory.
