Seeking protection of right to study, students form 27-km human chain

Manb Sanglo at Ring road (5)
Online Khabar
Kathmandu, November 27. Students formed a 27-km human chain along the Ring Road on Friday, drawing attention towards violation of their right to study, resulting from the Indian blockade and the movement going on in Tarai-Madhesh.

The students were carrying placards with slogans like No More Strike and Guarantee the Right to Study.

The campaign is meant to internationalise the problem and draw attention of the concerned parties as it has violated the students’ right to study, chief of N-PABSON, Karna Shahi.

Equipped with the national flag, placards and banners, the students are organising the silent protest programme in Kalanki, Satdobato, Koteshwor, Chabahil, Maharajgunj, Chakrapath, Balaju and Swoyambhu.

Only students studying in higher classes — above grade VIII — are taking part in the programme that has PABSON, NPABSON, student unions, Guardians Association Nepal, National Guardians’ Association, N-ISTU and HISSAN as organisers.
