Deputy PM Kamal Thapa off to India

Kathmandu, November 30. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa is leaving for a two-day visit to India at 4.00 pm on Monday.

“During his personal-spiritual visit, DPM and Foreign Minister Thapa will also hold talks with India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj”

The itineraries of Thapa’s whirlwind trip includes attending a spiritual programme in Bangalore and holding talks with his India’s Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj. Deputy Prime Minister Thapa had visited India about one and a half months ago, and held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During the talks, he had appealed Modi to remove border obstructions and ensure a smooth supply of essentials.
DPM Thapa will renew the appeal with Swaraj in talks slated for Tuesday.

Mohan Shrestha, joint spokesperson for the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, of which Thapa is the president, described Thapa’s visit as personal.
