A video of the Khumbu region released earlier this year has ranked no. 9 in the list of the most popular travel-related YouTube videos of the year 2015.

The nearly two-minute-long video has garnered more than 5 million views on Google Maps’ official YouTube page. It shows stunning time lapses and vistas of the region, including vignettes of the charming lives of the region’s inhabitants. The video also provides a virtual demo of Google Maps’ street view tool, which can be used to get a street-level view of certain portion of the map covering the region.

Google had finalised the list after reviewing its data collected from its eponymous search engine and its video-sharing site YouTube. France Air’s 45-second TVC topped the list this year with a total of 87.9 million views. Other videos in the list include promotional videos of airliners and hotels, including those produced by Turkish Air, Boeing, Delta Airlines, Marriott Hotels and Disney Parks.
