AUG 29, KATHMANDU. Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda , has said that time has come for taking responsibility by his party for the change along with national unity and prosperity.

Addressing a programme organised at the party headquarters, Parisdanda, today, Dahal said there was a need of new national unity in the country and added that his party could only contribute for the same.

He claimed that joining the UCPN (Maoist) by leaders and cadres of different parties in recent days has begun the new national unity and the upcoming election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) would further strengthen the unity.

The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman said attraction towards his party has increased as the other political parties have no any political and economic agendas.

He said that excitement seen from Tarai to the mountains, and Mechi in the east to Kanchanpur in the west and cadres and leaders joining the party from different political parties has indicated the national unity and added that his party is leading national unity.

On the occasion, around 50 leaders and cadres including leader of the CPN (UML) and old communist leader of Gulmi district, Purna Bahadur Rana, joined the UCPN (Maoist).
