Kathmandu, January 28. Nepal’s U-19 cricketers have kick-started their World Cup Cup campaign by defeating New Zealand by 32 runs.
Winning the toss, New Zealand decided to bat and restricted the Nepali side to 238/7 in the allotted 50 overs. In reply, the side from the test-playing country could only muster 206 runs before being bowled in 47.1 overs.
Nepal’s Raju Rijal was the highest run-getter for Nepal, but he fell two short of a half century. Similarly, Dipendra Airee was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal. He bagged three wickets.
