Kaski, October 8 . An ultralight aircraft went missing this morning. The aircraft with call sign 9NALI vanished minutes after take-off from Pokhara Airport in Kaski district at 10:35 AM.
Airport authorities said they lost contact with the ultra-light after a brief communication in which the pilot reported that they were “heading to the base camp.
District police said they have started a search for the ultralight. There were a 50-year-old Russian pilot and 40-year-old South African woman, Elizabeth, on board.
Meanwhile, a boatman, Nisan Lama, fell off the boat in Fewa Lake and went missing today. Tourists on board the boat escaped unscathed. Police are searching for Lama.
