Kathmandu, November 30. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called parties to budge from their respective stances and think about the country and the people. Addressing the talks between the three major parties and the United Democratic Madheshi Front in Baluwatar on Sunday, Oli said parties should work for the people, pointing that politics should be a means to ensure public welfare.

“We have engaged in politics for the sake of the country and the people. Let’s revisit our stances and think about the nation,” Madheshi Janadhikar Forum President Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar quoted PM Oli as saying during the meeting.

Oli called leaders of the UDMF, which has been spearheading a Madhesh Movement, to leave the movement and engage in national reconstruction.

Expressing readiness for resolution of the crisis, he called on UDMF to come to an agreement.
