Kathmandu, Jan 13: Normal life in the Kathmandu valley has been affected due to shutdown separately enforced by the UCPN (Maoist)-led 30-party alliance and CPN-Maoist.
Owing to the shutdown, schools, factories and means of transportation have remained closed. In some places, the general public and passengers and drivers have been stranded on the way for no knowledge about the general strike.
Meanwhile, police arrested eight students of Tro-chandra Campus, who were enforcing shutdown, from the campus gate, said ANNISU-Revolutionary central member DB Saud.
The shutdown this morning does not have significant impacts for no pre-information to many of the general public. RSS
