7.7-mag quake rocks parts of South Asia

Kathmandu, October 26. A 7.7-magnitude earthquake rocked parts of South Asia, including Aghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal this afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey and National Seismological Centre, Nepal.

The quake occurred six months after the April 25 mega-quake that left around 10,000 people dead, injured thousands and destroyed infrastructure worth billions of rupees.

The mega-quake’s epicenter was in the Hindu-Kush Himalayas, 256 km northeast of Afghan capital Kabul.
