DANG, Jan 15: Two pilgrims lost their lives when a bus hit them in Satbariya-8, Rihar this morning.
Niya Mahut, 40, of Hirmoniya-2, Banke and her five-year-old granddaughter Jyoti died on the spot after the bus hit, confirmed police.
They were on the way to Bagar Baba Pilgrimage Site of Rihar to take holy dip on the occasion of Maghe Sakranti festival.
The bus (Na 4 Kha 2313) which has come to Rihar to carry pilgrims from different places had knocked grandmother and granddaughter after brake failure, said Police Chief of Ward Police Office, Lamahi, Laxman Bahadur Shahi.
Police have impounded the bus while the driver is still at large. RSS
