Kathmandu, October 5. Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Dip Kumar Upadhyay, has expressed dissatisfaction with the South Bloc for not easing supply of essentials to Nepal despite making an announcement to this effect.
Upadhayay expressed his displeasure during a high-level meeting with high officials of India’s External Affairs Ministry today.
Upadhyay had Indian informed officials about hardships Nepalis were facing due to disruption in supply of essentials at a time when major festivals are around the corner. I have set up a mechanism at the Nepali Embassy to get updates from all seven customs along the Nepal-India border.
The diplomat said he had also set up a mechanism in the embassy to enable all concerned to read Nepal’s federal constitution and clear misconceptions about the charter.
