36 fuel tankers enter Nepal through Rani customs

Kathmandu, October 9. As of Friday afternoon, 36 petroleum tankers have entered Nepal through Biratnagar’s Rani customs. One LPG (cooking gas) bullet had entered Nepal through this border point on Thursday.

Kathmandu, October 9. As of Friday afternoon, 36 petroleum tankers have entered Nepal through Biratnagar’s Rani customs.

One LPG (cooking gas) bullet had entered Nepal through this border point on Thursday. Chief of Rani customs, Krishna Bahadur Basnet, said 36 tankers carrying cooking gas, petrol and diesel entered Nepal this afternoon.

The consignment includes 24 tankers carrying diesel, three petrol tankers and nine gas bullets. Basnet said the entry of oil tankers is continuing.

From Mechi customs, two gas bullets have entered Nepal.

Goods carrier remain stuck in India with drivers refusing to enter Nepal through Sunauli customs close to Bhairahawa, while in Birgunj, agitating United Democratic Madheshi Front continues to disrupt cross-border movement of goods. Through Nepalgunj customs, not a single petroleum tanker has entered Nepal so far today.
