Online Khabar
Kathmandu, October 11. Three supporters of CPN-UML’s prime ministerial candidate, KP Sharma Oli, were not present in the Parliament on the day of voting for the post of PM.
UCPN-Maoist Chair Prachanda proposed Oli’s candidature and RPP-Nepal’s Kamal Thapa seconded it. But three lawmakers from small parties remained absent, albeit mysteriously. The missing lawmakers are Ram Kumar Rai of Khambuwan Liberation Front, Hari Charan Sah of Nepali Janata Dal and Yasoda Kumari Lama of Dalit Janajati Party.
But their absence will not scuttle Oli’s chances of becoming PM. Oli has 183 UML lawmakers, 83 UCPN-Maoist lawmakers, 25 RPP-Nepal lawmakers and 14 MJF (Democratic) lawmakers on his side. Small parties, including RPP, are also supporting him.
