25 Aug, Solukhumbu. Three Livestock Service Centres established at different VDCs in Solukhumbu district have been closed for the past one year.

Out of 12 centres in the district, three are closed and five are running by office assistants.

 According to the District Livestock Service Office, Solukhumbu, Sisokhola, Gorakhani and Junbesi Livestock Services are closed after the centres even lack office assistant.

 Similarly, office assistants are running the Livestock Service centres at Chheskam, Sotang, Basa, Kharikhola and Tilang, said senior Livestock Development officer at the District Livestock Service Office, Solukhumbu, Ram Ashish Das.

 There is a provision that each livestock service centre should have two technical employees.

 Das said that although they informed about the problem at the central office time and again, but in vain.
