Kathmandu, October 9. Amid a continuing political strife in the Tarai and the Indian blockade, people came out in the heart of the capital to form a human chain to stress national unity, goodwill and harmony among ethnicities.
Participants at the human chain spanning from Babarmahal to Maitighar Mandala were carrying banners with the message ‘Goodwill forever’ and displaying the national flag.
The participants converged at Maitighar Mandala and sang the national anthem. Chair of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Pashupati Murarka and Captain Vijaya Lama were among the participants. Invitation for participation at the programme was extended through a social networking site.
