2 Feb, Dhading : Four members of a family died in a fire caused with electric short circuit. The accident took place at Charadui of Dhusa VDC-1 in the southern belt of the district at 1:00 am today.

The fire broke out at the house of Kishor Chandra Thapaliya. The victims were Thapaliya, and his daughter Yojana, son-in-law, and a granddaughter.

The relatives are from Kaski district, and had come to Thapaliya’s home to attend a marriage ceremony yesterday.

Thapaliya’s wife injured in the fire is receiving treatment at a local hospital.

A neighbour Milan Silwal said as they could not take all out of home during the fire, they were burnt in the bed. But those sleeping outside the home escaped the tragedy.

Even the newly wed escaped death, for they were in another home.

The house was perished with fire, said the Area Police Office, Gajuri.

Locals and a police team rescued the people. As it was night, they faced tough time to bring the fire under control. RSS
