The auspicious time for receiving this year’s Dashain Tika has been made public. A body of astrologers, Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti, said the most appropriate time for tika is at 10:55 AM, Kartika 5. According to the Samiti, the time for Ghatasthapana is on 11:25 AM, Asoj 26.
The Fulpati ceremony is on Kartik 3. The perfect time for starting the procession of Goddess Tulaja is at 10:55 AM. Mahastami Vrata is on Kartik 4, the Samiti informed, adding that Kalaratri Puja should be performed the same day.
Mahanawami and Vijaya Dashami (Dashain) fall on the same day this year. Ram Chandra Gautam, Samiti chief, said Mahanawami puja should be performed before Vijaya Dashami puja, citing ages-old practices.
The auspicious time for disposal of Devi idol is 10:45 am, Kartika 5, whereas the auspicious time for receiving Tika is 10:55 AM.
