Bhairahawa, October 7. Clashes ensued between protesters associated with cadres of the United Democratic Madheshi Front and police at the Belahiya trade point in Bhairahawa today.
Dozens of protesters, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahendra Khadka, Sub-inspector Yan Bahadur Kunwar and Constable Gajendra Bista sustained injuries in the fighting.
Among the injured is Krishna Bahadur Chhetri of Bhalbari, Tilottama municipality. Police had found him with grave injuries at no-man’s-land and brought him to Bhim Hospital for treatment.
