Biratnagar, November 2. A minister has accused India of making preparations to send what he called ‘an army without uniform’ to further its interests in Nepal.
Minister without portfolio Satya Narayan Mandal said this at a press conference organised in Biratnagar on Monday.
Minister Mandal said: In the present context, India cannot send its uniformed army (to Nepal). But the army without uniform is more dangerous than the one in uniform.”
India is trying to impose neocolonialism in Nepal, he said. “But we are not India’s servants.”
Asked how the Madhesh Movement will end with India’s interests vis-à-vis province delineation unfulfilled, Minister Mandal made an interesting revelation of sorts: “I have heard that Indian consulates based in Biratnagar and Birgunj are demanding return of their investment.”
Citing rumours, he said: Indian consulates in Biratnagar and Birgunj are pressing for return of their investment, pointing that their plan has come a cropper.”
