Dang, October 5 . Tharuhat-Tharuwan Joint Struggle Committee Deukhuri has called off its highway-centric movement in Dang. The committee said it will organise public gatherings and awareness programmes only.
The committee had been enforcing a general strike for about two months and opted for what it called a highway-centric movement for about a week.
With effect from 5 pm on Monday, we will allow means of transport to ply and let marketplaces as well as government and NGO offices to open, spokesperson for the committee’s Dang chapter Prakash Kumar Chaudhari said in a press release.
